Connect for Health Colorado Audit Completed

An audit of Connect for Health Colorado has been completed for the State Legislative Audit Committee.  The audit shows that the state-run marketplace is narrowing the gap needed to become financially self-sufficient compared to findings in the exchange’s last audit in 2014.  Expenses have been reduced by $18.5 million between 2015 and 2017 and revenue has increase by $16.2 million, resulting in an estimated $2.6 million surplus this year.

The audit found that the exchange needed better oversight on its implementation of financial policy requirements and better follow-up on appeals and complaints from consumers.
