Colorado Hospitals Among Nation’s Best in U.S. News & World Report Survey

The University of Colorado Hospital has been ranked #15 in the nation in this year’s edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals Ranking”.   University of Colorado Hospital was nationally ranked in 11 specialties.  This is a five slot improvement from last year when it was ranked as #20 in the nation and is the highest ranking for a Colorado hospital in the history of the survey.

National Jewish Health once again was ranked as the top respiratory hospital in the nation.  With rare exception, National Jewish along with its affiliate, the University of Colorado Hospital, have held the first position in pulmonology programs for the last twenty years.

Craig Hospital was chosen as the #7 rehabilitation hospital in the U.S. in this year’s survey.  Craig has been ranked among the top ten rehabilitation hospitals since the inception of the U.S. News and World Report’s ranking in 1990.

Also receiving national recognition for specialty care were Porter Adventist Hospital which was ranked 24th in the nation for its ear, nose and throat specialty and 37th for its orthopedics program, and  Rose Medical Center with the 40th ranking for its gynecology specialties.
