President Trump Considers Signing “Stripped-down” Insurance Option

President Trump hints that on Friday he may unilaterally sign a health care order that would allow consumers to purchase alternative health insurance policies that do not completely comply with regulations set forth in the “Affordable Care Act”.

According to a Reuters’ article: “The expected order would allow small businesses and individuals to band together as associations to buy health insurance plans that would be exempt from some Obamacare requirements. These include mandatory coverage for 10 essential health benefits such as maternity and newborn care, prescription drugs and mental health treatment.”
