UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central Applies for Level 1 Trauma Designation

UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs has applied to become a Level 1 Trauma hospital.  It currently is designated a Trauma 2 facility.  The hospital is to undergo a site inspection next week, January 15 and 16.    Approval for the change could be issued as early as April, 2018.

The Level 1 Trauma designation would make UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central the first hospital with this level of designation in Southern Colorado
