Three Corporate Giants Unite on Employee Health Care

Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan Chase have aligned to create a jointly held company to provide health care services to their employees.   The announcement on Tuesday, January 30, surprised the health industry and sent stocks for insurance companies, pharmaceutical distributors and related health care organizations downward.

The three corporate giants have agreed that the new health care company will not be a profit making investment but did not clarify if it would be designed as a nonprofit organization.  Few details on structure were revealed during the announcement.  The three companies have a combined employee force of 1.2 million.
