The Medical Center of Aurora to Expand by 50 Beds

The Medical Center of Aurora, an HCA/HealthONE hospital, has announce plans to expand by fifty beds their North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center.  The addition will increase the bed count at the North Campus to 128.  The expansion will include additional beds for the facility’s senior care and children & adolescent units.

Recent research from Mental Health America ranks Colorado in 43rd place among the states and the District of Columbia in the prevalence of mental illness and access to care measures.  Colorado’s ranking indicates that the state has a higher prevalence of mental illness and less access to care options for its population, both adult and youth, than 42 other states.
