Southwest Health System Fires Another C-level; Hires Interim CEO

Southwest Health System in Cortez is once again experiencing a “change in leadership direction”.  The chief financial officer, Angela Kobel, has been terminated as of last Friday and a new interim CEO will begin on April 23.  The moves were announced by Community Hospital Corp., a Plano-Texas-base consulting and hospital management firm engaged by SHS to assist with their leadership transition.

The three released were: CEO Kent Rogers, Chief Nursing Officer Karen Pasquin and Chief Ambulatory Services Officer Ken Boucher.  A formal reason for the terminations was not given but it was speculated that lack of growth and problems with Medicaid reimbursements from the State were to blame.
