Children’s Hospital Colorado, and Anthem Collaborate

Children’s Hospital Colorado and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Colorado are collaborating on a pediatric version of Anthem’s “Quality-In-Sights: Hospital Incentive Program”.   Coined “Q-HIP”, the program is Anthem’s value-based reimbursement program that provides financial incentives to hospitals using clinical quality measures to evaluate outcomes for Anthem consumers.  This new collaboration will expand the incentives to some of Anthem’s pediatric population.

The pediatric version of Q-HIP is the first hospital-based pediatric quality program for each of the two partners.  The program has the expressed goal of developing pediatric metrics rather than using adult metrics to determine quality outcomes for the patients served.
