Penrose-St. Francis Health Services Reassesses New Hospital Plans

The proposed new hospital for Penrose-St. Francis Health Services at Fillmore Street and Centennial Boulevard is under review.  Although still committed to the project,  the drafting of a new strategic plan for the Colorado Springs area is debating the best design use for the $550 million estimated price tag.

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services filed a preliminary plan with the City to build the new high-rise hospital and medical office campus in West Colorado Springs in June 2017.   If constructed, it’s design and scope will create another major health care hub in the city.  Penrose-St. Francis currently operates two hospitals in Colorado Springs.
