Second Female Physician Tapped to Head Colorado Hospital

Dr. Christina (Tina) Johnson has accepted the position of chief executive officer at Longmont United Hospital.  She will hold  the distinction of being the second female physician to serve as CEO of a Colorado hospital.   Dr.  Johnson currently serves as VP & chief medical officer of Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge.   She joined the medical staff at Lutheran in 1998 as attending physician in the Emergency Department and has served in a variety of capacities since.

She begins her new duties on May 14, replacing Interim President Joe Tasse who has been in the leadership role since the resignation of former CEO Mitchell Carson in October 2017.
