Bachelor of Nursing Program for Pueblo Community College

Pueblo Community College is designing a bachelor of science degree in nursing for the college under a newly created Division of Nursing.   The new degree program will begin in July 2018.  and be led by current faculty member and RN Paula Kirchner.

The college has had a two-year nursing program under its Health and Public Safety Division for decades.   In March of this year, Governor Hickenlooper signed into law House Bill 1086 that allows community colleges to offer four-year bachelor of nursing degrees.  HB 1086 is one step designed to help offset the shortage of skilled nurses in Colorado.
