St. Mary-Corwin’s Restructuring Update

In March, St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo announced plans to restructure its operations resulting in the elimination of some hospital services, the paring down of others, and the expanding of such services as cancer and orthopedic care.  The moves displaced 275 employees over a three stage transition period.  The third stage is complete and the hospital reports that all but 30 former staff are relocated or have received severance from the hospital.

St. Mary-Corwin is in conversation with other health care providers in the area to find alternative care options for patients needing services no longer provided by the hospital.
