New Brain Injury Treatment Center for Southern Colorado

The National Intrepid Center of Excellence headquartered at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in  Bethesda, MD is building a satellite facility at Fort Carson south of Colorado Springs.  The new brain injury treatment center will be the seventh such facility built solely with funds from the nonprofit Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Each is designed to serve active duty military personnel and to offer a team of specially train doctors and staff to provide physical and speech therapies along with less traditional treatment modalities.

Once construction is completed  in 2019, the 25,000 sq.ft. facility will be turned over to the Department of Defense for operation.
