Rose Family Medicine Residency Closes

The program has trained 341 family-medicine residents since 1970. It was a partnership of Rose Medical Center and the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
The program’s overseer, the Colorado Health Foundation, has ceded operational duties to the HealthONE hospital system.

After months of discussions, the two entities were unable to form a working relationship.  University of Colorado officials wrote to the accrediting body that they planned to close the program and it stopped seeing new patients at the end of the June.
