CU Medical Campus Receives Largest Private Gift in History

The name sake for whom the University of Colorado Medical campus is named, Philip Anschutz and The Anschutz Foundation, have added an additional $120 million to their current investment in the campus.  This represents the largest private, philanthropic donation in the medical campus’ history.

The new donation will be used to retain  and recruit top level faculty, fund both ongoing and new research and provide funding for the construction of a 390,000 sq.ft. interdisciplinary health sciences building.  The new investment brings the total contributions from The Anschutz Foundation and Mr. Anschutz and family to nearly $300 million since 2000.
