SCL’s St. Joseph Hospital to Benefit from New Medical Pavilion

St. Joseph Hospital in the Uptown neighborhood will have a 100,000 sq.ft. medical pavilion located near its campus in 2020.  It will include medical office space and services, wellness and fitness facilities in addition to retail and restaurant options.

The new facility will be the first project of newly established health care real estate company, Fidelis Healthcare Partners.  The company is affiliated with Houston-based Fidelis Realty Partners.  Ownership of the medical pavilion will be held by both Fidelis Healthcare Partners and a state pension fund advised by Bentall Kennedy, one of North America’s largest real estate investment advisors.

St. Joseph Hospital, a SCL Health System facility, reopened in its new 375-bed acute care facility  on December 13, 2014.  In that same year, Saint Joseph Hospital and National Jewish Health formed a joint operating agreement to provide inpatient and outpatient care together for the region.  St. Joseph’s was established in 1873 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas, as the first private teaching hospital in Colorado.
