UCHealth’s Will Cook Accepts New Position

Will Cook, president and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital, will be the next president and CEO of Vail Health.  Cook has held the leadership role at the UCHealth hospital since September 2015.  He came to Colorado following a 13 year career in a variety of roles at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, an academic medical center with a network of 21 hospitals.  He will begin his new role at Vail Health in January 2019.

Cook replaces current CEO Doris Kirchner who in the fall of 2017 asked to transition her leadership role to a strategic planning position with Vail Health.  A national search was conducted resulting in the selection of Will Cook to replace her as CEO.
