Leadership Team Announced for CHI/Dignity Health Merger

The leadership team has been announced for the projected merger of CHI and Dignity Health by year’s end.  The new corporation to be named CommonSpirit Health will keep both current CEOs in that role going forward, each with different areas of responsibility.  The merger will unite more than 700 care sites and 139 hospitals creating the largest not-for-profit hospital company by revenue in the nation.   The leadership team for CommonSpirit Health will include:

• President and COO: Marvin O’Quinn
• CFO: Daniel Morissette
• CIO: Deanna Wise
• CMO: Robert Wiebe, MD
• Chief nursing officer: Kathleen Sanford, RN
• Chief business lines officer: Paul Edgett
• Chief strategy and transformation officer: Charles Francis
• Chief mission officer: Thomas Kopfensteiner
• Chief legal officer: Mitch Melfi
• Chief HR officer: Darryl Robinson
• Chief administrative officer (supporting Lloyd Dean): Elizabeth Shih
• Chief administrative officer (supporting Kevin Lofton): Patricia Webb
• Senior vice president of physician enterprise: Bruce Swartz
