Marguerite Salazar Moves On

Governor John Hickenlooper has announced the resignation of Marguerite Salazar who has lead his Department of Regulatory Agencies since her appointment in July 2017.  Prior to that assignment, she served has Colorado’s Insurance Commission for four years.    Salazar has accepted a Cabinet position on newly elected  New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s board of advisors as Superintendent of the State’s Licensing and Regulation Department.

With a distinguished career in government and public service, Salazar served as the Region 8 Regional Director for the Department of Health and Human Services under President Barack Obama.  She will remain in her position with the State of Colorado until the Hickenlooper Administration term ends on January 8, 2019.
