Healthgrades Expands with Acquisition of East Coast Firm

Denver-based Healthgrades has acquired Birmingham, Alabama-based Influence Health, a company that offers web development , social media and data search capabilities for the health care industry.  The merger will enhance Healthgrades’  “Customer-Relationship Management” data analytics offerings.

The customer-base for the combined companies will expand to 1,500 from each firm’s current 1,000 base.  Influence Health has directory listing management software that checks the accuracy, and timeliness of key data elements.

The acquisition will add an additional 80 employees to the current workforce estimated at over 700.  The merged companies will be headquartered in Denver but will keep satellite operations in both Birmingham and Atlanta as well as its current Raleigh office.   Healthgrades’ CEO Rob Draughon speculates that this is not the last acquisition for the online resource for comprehensive information on physicians and hospitals.
