A New Leadership Role For Elisabeth Arenales

Elisabeth Arenales,  director of health programs at the Colorado Center on Law and Policy, will be leaving to join Governor Jared Polis’ team as the senior advisor for health.  Arenales has been with CCLP since 2000 where she has been recognized by several organizations as one of the state’s leading health care advocates in her dedication to the pursue of health equity for all Coloradans.

Arenales was a founder of the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative, the statewide, nonpartisan initiative represents 50 nonprofit organizations tasked with shaping effective health care policy. In 2006, she was recognized as a community health leader by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.  In 2014, she received both the Iglehart Award for leadership in health policy from The Colorado Health Foundation, and the Tip of the Spear Award from the Colorado Medical Society.
