Healthgrades has Recognized Seven Colorado Hospitals Among Best

Denver-based Healthgrades is out with its “America’s Best Hospitals” list for 2019 that recognizes facilities with exemplary clinical outcomes.   Healthgrades reviews outcomes across a variety of common inpatient conditions and procedures to make its determinations.

Seven Colorado hospitals have been included in the listing for this year.  They are:  1. Banner Health – North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley;   2. Centura Health – Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver;  3.  HealthONE – Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree;   4. SCL Health – Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette;  5. SCL Health – Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge;  6. UCHealth – Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins; and  7. UCHealth – University of Colorado Hospital – Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora.

Three of the seven were recognized among the fifty top U.S. hospitals in the country:  Good Samaritan Medical Center, Lutheran Medical Center and North Colorado Medical Center.  To reach the top 50, hospitals need to have been on the Healthgrades “Best Hospitals” list for six or more consecutive years. This designation places them within the top 1 percent of  the more than 4,500 hospitals in the nation.
