UCHealth CNO Retires after 50 Years

After fifty years, Donna Poduska has retired from Poudre Valley Hospital.  Poduska has spent her career as a nurse at Poudre Valley Hospital.  She started at PVH in 1969 after graduating from nursing school at Montana State University.   Over the years she has held a variety of nursing and leadership positions with the hospital.   She most recently served as chief nursing officer for the UCHealth facility, a position she has held since 2011.

During her tenure, she has been part of the process to hire most of the hospital’s 800 person nursing staff.  She was instrument in achieving the hospital’s Magnet designation five times and has inspected health care facilities across the country to verify their compliance with Magnet certification standards.

Julie Nunley will succeed Donna Poduska as chief nursing officer. She has been with UCHealth for over a year assisting with the planning of operations, policies design and hiring for the new Greeley Hospital. She has more than 17 years of experience as an executive health care leader, including serving as CEO for two Banner hospitals in Arizona, as well as CNO at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center.
