Dr. Tista Ghosh has been appointed by Governor Polis as the next chief medical officer of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.  Before her formal appointment in April, she has served the CDPHE as  director of public health programs and interim chief medical officer for four years.   Dr. Ghosh also has been named vice president of health strategy at 9Health, a division of 9News.

She is trained in internal medicine, preventive medicine, and public health practice.  In 2017, Dr. Ghosh was appointed to the U.S. Community Preventive Services Task Force by the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  The commission was tasked with reviewing scientific evidence and making recommendations to guide population health efforts across the nation.
