Anthem and Express Scripts Parting Ways March 1

The Anthem-Express Scripts relationship has been turbulent.  Anthem claimed the pharmacy benefit manager withheld billions in savings and overcharged Anthem $3 billion annually for its services. Paladina Health Closes on Major Acquisition

Denver-based Paladina Health has closed on the acquisition of Indianapolis-based Activate Healthcare.  The companies are both direct primary-care companies with virtually no location overlap.  The acquisition will nearly double the size of Paladina Health.  Before the sale, it operated 53 clinics across 10 states; now that number will increase to 100 clinics across 18 states. Techstars and UnitedHealthcare Partner on Accelerator Program
